Terms of Service

Last updated: March 5, 2026

IMPORTANT — Please read these terms carefully before using The Stock Dossier. By accessing or using this service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use this service.

1. About The Stock Dossier

The Stock Dossier is an AI-powered investigative research tool that analyzes publicly available information about securities and publicly listed companies. This service is operated as an independent platform and is not affiliated with any brokerage, financial institution, or regulatory body.

The Stock Dossier is accessible at thestockdossier.com and through associated subdomains and applications.

2. Not Investment Advice — Critical Disclaimer

THE STOCK DOSSIER IS NOT A REGISTERED INVESTMENT ADVISOR, BROKER-DEALER, OR FINANCIAL PLANNER. NOTHING ON THIS PLATFORM CONSTITUTES INVESTMENT ADVICE, A RECOMMENDATION TO BUY, SELL, OR HOLD ANY SECURITY, OR A SOLICITATION OF ANY INVESTMENT.

Specifically:

  • All reports and analysis are generated by artificial intelligence and are for informational and educational purposes only.
  • AI-generated analysis may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or misleading. No report should be relied upon as the sole basis for any investment decision.
  • Past performance of any security referenced in a report is not indicative of future results.
  • You are solely and exclusively responsible for all investment decisions you make.
  • Always conduct your own independent research and consult a qualified, licensed financial advisor before making any investment decision.
  • The Stock Dossier does not know your financial situation, investment objectives, risk tolerance, or tax circumstances. Reports are generic and not tailored to you personally.

Use of this service does not create any fiduciary, advisory, or professional relationship between you and The Stock Dossier.

3. Service Description

The Stock Dossier provides AI-powered analysis of publicly available information including, but not limited to: SEC filings, regulatory submissions, court records, news articles, company press releases, and investor relations materials. Reports are structured using a proprietary 7-pillar investigative framework.

3.1 Service Availability

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service (or any part thereof) at any time with or without notice.

3.2 Investigation Limits

Active subscribers may run up to 20 investigations per day. This limit exists to ensure service quality for all users and is subject to change with 30 days notice.

3.3 Geographic Scope

Reports currently focus on US-listed securities. Coverage of foreign-listed securities may be limited or unavailable. Users outside the United States access this service at their own risk and are responsible for compliance with their local laws regarding investment research and financial services.

4. Accuracy Disclaimer

AI-generated analysis is inherently imperfect. You acknowledge and accept that:

  • Reports may contain factual errors, omissions, misinterpretations, or outdated information.
  • Source citations are provided to allow independent verification — The Stock Dossier does not guarantee the accuracy of underlying sources.
  • AI models may hallucinate facts, misread filings, or draw incorrect inferences. All outputs should be independently verified before reliance.
  • The Stock Dossier does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, suitability, or timeliness of any report or analysis.
  • References to specific SEC filings, court records, or regulatory documents should be independently accessed and verified. A link to a source does not guarantee the AI correctly interpreted that source.

We strongly encourage users to click through to primary sources cited in every report before drawing any conclusions.

5. Subscription Terms

5.1 Pricing

  • Monthly plan: $9.99 USD per month
  • Annual plan: $84.00 USD per year ($7.00/month effective rate)
  • Referral first-month discount: $4.99 USD for the first month (see Section 5.5)

5.2 Billing

Subscriptions are billed in advance via PayPal on a recurring basis. By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges to your PayPal account at the applicable rate until cancellation. You are responsible for ensuring your PayPal account remains funded and valid.

5.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Account Settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain full access to the service until that date. No partial-period refunds are issued.

5.4 Refund Policy

All subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 14 days of the charge.

5.5 Referral Programme

The Stock Dossier offers a referral programme subject to the following terms:

  • Referring users share a unique referral link. When a new user subscribes using that link, the referred user receives their first month at $4.99 (instead of the standard $9.99).
  • The referring user earns one (1) free month of service, applied as a subscription credit, subject to the conditions below.
  • The referral reward is only granted if the referred user's subscription remains active and in good standing at the time their first full billing cycle completes. If the referred user cancels before completing their first full billing cycle, no reward is granted to the referring user.
  • The referral reward is limited to one (1) free month per qualifying referral. There is no ongoing or recurring reward.
  • Referral rewards have no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged.
  • Self-referral — using your own referral code to create a second account — is prohibited and may result in termination of both accounts without refund.
  • The Stock Dossier reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the referral programme at any time. Rewards already applied will be honoured; pending rewards may be cancelled with notice.
  • We reserve the right to void referral rewards obtained through fraudulent, abusive, or manipulative means.

5.6 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. We will provide at least 30 days notice via email before any price increase takes effect. Continued use of the service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

5.7 Free Trials

If a free trial is offered, it will be clearly described at sign-up. At the end of any free trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan unless you cancel before the trial ends.

6. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • All activity that occurs under your account.
  • Ensuring your account information is accurate and up to date.
  • Immediately notifying us of any unauthorised use of your account.

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use this service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.

Each account is for a single individual. Account sharing or reselling access to your account is prohibited.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use The Stock Dossier to:

  • Use reports or analysis as the primary basis for soliciting investments from third parties or as part of any investment advisory, fund management, or financial planning service.
  • Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or publicly display investigation reports or any content generated by the service, in whole or in part.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, crawl, or otherwise attempt to extract the underlying data, algorithms, prompts, or systems of the service.
  • Submit inputs designed to generate personal investment advice, legal advice, or any other professional advice.
  • Create multiple accounts for the purpose of circumventing usage limits, referral restrictions, or any other service limitation.
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations, including securities laws.
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information in connection with your account or use of the service.
  • Use automated means to access or use the service without our express written permission.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service, its servers, or any connected system or network.

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account termination without refund and, where applicable, legal action.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Property

The Stock Dossier, its 7-pillar investigative framework, brand, design, software, and all underlying systems are proprietary. Nothing in these terms grants you any right, title, or interest in our intellectual property.

8.2 Your Use of Reports

Reports generated by the service are provided for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, publish, or commercialise report outputs without our express written consent.

8.3 Third-Party Content

Reports may reference or link to publicly available information from third parties (SEC filings, news sources, court records, etc.). We do not claim ownership of that content. All third-party trademarks, company names, and ticker symbols remain the property of their respective owners.

8.4 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use that feedback without any obligation to you.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the following limitations apply.
  • The Stock Dossier's total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these terms or your use of the service is limited to the total amount you paid to us in the 30 days immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
  • The Stock Dossier is not liable for any investment losses, trading losses, lost profits, lost opportunity, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or reliance on the service.
  • We are not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information in any report.
  • We are not responsible for decisions made by you or third parties based on content from this service.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Stock Dossier and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:

  • Your use of the service in violation of these terms.
  • Your investment decisions or actions taken in reliance on the service.
  • Any third-party claim arising from your use or misuse of the service.
  • Your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.

11. Privacy and Data

Your use of The Stock Dossier is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these terms. By using the service, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

We collect account information (email address), subscription status, and usage data (tickers investigated, report history) for the purpose of providing and improving the service. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Payment processing is handled by PayPal. We do not store your payment card details. PayPal's terms and privacy policy govern the payment relationship.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that: (a) the service will be uninterrupted or error-free; (b) any report will be accurate, complete, or reliable; (c) the service will meet your requirements; or (d) any defects will be corrected.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

  • Violation of these Terms of Service.
  • Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
  • Non-payment of subscription fees.
  • Any other reason at our sole discretion.

Upon termination, your right to access the service ends immediately. If termination is due to your breach of these terms, no refund will be issued. If termination is at our sole discretion for reasons unrelated to your conduct, we will refund any unused prepaid subscription fees on a pro-rata basis.

You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and contacting us to request account deletion.

14. Modifications to the Service and Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

We also reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any feature of the service at any time without liability to you, except as expressly stated in these terms.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation between the parties. If not resolved within 30 days, disputes may be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm.

16. General

16.1 Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

16.2 Entire Agreement

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and The Stock Dossier regarding the service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

16.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
